Like A Prayer

Meet St. John’s Parish on St. John’s Island, SC. One of many barrier islands on the South Carolina Coast, we passed through St. John’s on our way to Wadmalaw Island, home to the nation’s ONLY tea plantation (more pictures to follow). Adjacent to this charming place of worship is a narrow dirt road that leads to the Angel Oak, the oldest tree east of the Mississippi (see below).

The Angel Tree

This is the Angel Tree on St. John’s Island in South Carolina. Rumor has it that this tree is almost 1500 years old! It kind of reminds me of the tree in Sleepy Hallow, but then that’s just creepy.

My friend Leah is starting her own clothing line, and I’m the lucky one who gets to take pictures of all her pretty things.
